<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the area of a soldering part for mounting a battery connector to a printed wiring board is large so that miniaturization cannot be carried out, and a problem wherein an exposed part of the soldering part must be covered with an insulating cover after mounting the connector. <P>SOLUTION: This battery connector comprises: a housing 1 composed by opening an opening part 10 for mounting a contact member in assembling it on the mounting side of the printed wiring board 3, and the contact member 2 mounted in the housing from the opening part 10 for mounting the contact member in assembling it, formed of a U-shaped spring body 20, and having a U-shaped mounting part 21 engageable with a housing wall surface. The battery connector is so structured that the contact member 2 is mounted in the housing 1; thereafter the undersurface side of the U-shaped mounting part 21 is adapted to face the printed wiring board 3; and the lower outside surface of the U-shaped mounting part 21 is formed as a soldering part 22 and mounted to the printed wiring board 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
