PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a device to a small diameter coin without increasing the size thereof, and facilitate the application to a small diameter coin. SOLUTION: The coin selector delimits an arc passage 156 by a first arc portion 122 having a first radius centered on a predetermined position and a second arc portion 138 having a radius centered on the position smaller than the first radius, and sorts coins guided by a substantially vertical inlet passage into genuine and false ones in the arc passage. A pivot is arranged in the position, and a platelike guide forming the second arc portion centered on a fitting hole 136 and an inlet guide 148 defining the inlet passage is fitted on the pivot via the fitting hole and then fixed at a fixing portion formed in an inlet guide portion.
