DEVELOPING APPARATUS AND IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus and an image recording apparatus in which carrying failure while carrying a sheet type recording material after wet development for drying can be fast detected and cancellation/restoration for carrying failure of a sheet type recording material in a drying unit can be easily performed. SOLUTION: The developing apparatus is equipped with a developing unit to wet develop a recording sheet having an image recorded and a drying unit 26 to dry the recording sheet after developed. The drying unit carries the recording sheet while drying and is provided with a detection sensor 50 to detect the recording paper in an intermediate place between the entrance 29e of the drying unit and an ejection unit 27. Carrying failure at the time of carrying a recording sheet after wet development for drying can be fast detected by the detection sensor, and cancellation/restoration for the carrying failure of a recording sheet in the drying unit is easily performed.
