PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide superior exhaust gas performance, by improving startability of an engine when starting the engine in a cold state. SOLUTION: This control device of the engine with a motor-driven supercharger has the motor-driven supercharger 3, arranged in an intake system of the engine 9 mounted on a vehicle and supercharging intake air by being driven by an electric motor 31, an engine cold state determining means 21 for determining the cold state of the engine 9, a starting signal detecting means 12 for detecting an engine starting signal based on operation of a driver, and a control means 20 for driving the motor-driven supercharger 3 when starting the engine in the cold state by detecting the engine starting signal by a starting signal detecting means 12 by determining that the engine 9 is the cold state by the engine cold state determining means 21.
