PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an under-floor storage unit which enables the wide utilization of an under-floor space as a storage space, from which a stored matter can be easily taken out, which has a simple structure and can be manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: The under-floor storage unit 1 comprises a large number of storage carts 2 connected with one another which can be moved along a traveling route K formed in the under-floor in advance. The storage cart 2 itself is not of a self-traveling type. The traveling rail K is provided with a traveling means 6 for causing the cart to travel and a guide 7 preventing the cart from running off the traveling route K. One of the carts 2 is selectively moved to a position under an floor opening 15 functioning as an opening for taking out the stored matter 5 so that the stored matter 5 can be taken out from the storage cart 2.
