PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage container in which an object to be stored such as a long vegetable with a soft and easily damaged tip end is efficiently stored keeping freshness for a long time. SOLUTION: This storage container comprises foaming synthetic resin container main body 1 which keeps one face open 2 and a foaming synthetic resin cover body 3 which closes the opening of the main body. One of the contacting faces of the side wall top end face of the main body and of the bottom face of the cover body is formed with a convex strip 4 and the other of the same with a concave strip 5 for mutual fitting. After an object to be stored is stored in the main body with its opening facing upward the opening is closed with the cover body, and the container is stored or transported in a condition where one end side of the object is turned to face upward. A pair of concave grooves 14, 14' are provided roughly vertically from the top end face of the long side walls 6, 6' of the main body near the one end side 7 of the object on the long side walls, and one or more stick-like objects 20, 21, 22 are fitted loose in the grooves.
