PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular saw capable of easily conducting a cutting operation to adjust the length of a furring strip to the length between two poles and exactly cutting at a cutting position, to provide a furring strip fastening tool for the circular saw enabling a smooth and easy operation of cutting the furring strip to the length between the poles with the circular saw, and to provide a ruler for the circular saw capable of stably exactly guiding the circular saw to enable an easy and linear cut. SOLUTION: The circular saw 1 has a flat plate-like base portion 13 removably attachably fastened to a lower surface of a plinth 2, a saw blade insertion hole 15 on the base side, a pole contact portion 16 on the front surface side fastened to the lower surface of the base portion 13, and a pole contact portion 17 on the side surface side fastened perpendicularly to the pole contact portion 16 on the front surface side.
