<p>It is intended to provide a synthetic wood material comprising a polystyrene resin or a polypropylene resin as the main component wherein a surface material has a high weather-resistance and favorable bonding properties to a main body material. Namely, a synthetic wood material (1A) comprising a main body (2) serving as a core layer, which is made of a foamed polystyrene resi n or a foamed polypropylene resin, and a surface material (3), which is made o f a non-foamed or low-foamed weather-resistant resin, integrally bonded to the outer face of the main body (2) by coextrusion molding. In this wood materia l, the surface material is prepared by using a highly weather-resistant acrylonitrile/acrylate rubber/styrene copolymer resin and/or an acrylonitrile/ethylene propylene rubber/styrene copolymer resin as the main component and blending, as a side component, a resin employed as the main component in the main body material within such a range as being appropriate for improving the bonding properties between the main material and the surfa ce material but not worsening the weather-resistance.</p> |
