PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for a roll having a smooth conductive surface coating layer. SOLUTION: By this method, an elastic material having low hardness is formed concentrically around a supporting body to obtain an elastic roll base body. Then, a soln. to form a conductive surface film prepared by dispersing a conductive material in a base resin soln. is applied on the elastic roll base body and dried to form a conductive surface coating layer. In this method of the roll for an electrophotographic device, the soln. to form a conductive surface coating film contains dimethyl polysiloxane having 1000 to 10000 average mol.wt. and polar groups on both molecular ends by 0.002 to 1.0wt.% (as a solid content). |
