摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the peak value of received power by meeting a wide fluctuation of a load due to acceleration or deceleration, to make the effective use of the power, to make the facility compact, and to cut the facility cost. SOLUTION: Drive electric power is fed from a substation 1 to the electric motor 9 of an electric car 3 via a feeding system 2 to control its traveling. This electric railway feeding system is provided with capacitor bank 6 comprising capacitors in series-parallel connection, a charging circuit which stores electrical energy by charging the capacitor banks 6 with electric power fed from the substation 1, and an output control means 7, which feeds the electric energy stored in the capacitor banks 6 to the electric motor 9 as the drive electric power and charges and stores the regenerative power of the electric motor 9 in the capacitor banks 6. The electrical energy stored in the capacitor banks 6 or the electric energy combined with the power fed from the substation 1 is used as the driving electric power for the electric motor 9.
