The device has a set of detector components (DET1, DET2), each being associated with an acquisition chain for acquiring pulse signals and for counting detection events. A correlation system (COR) is arranged to receive pulse signals from the respective components, and compares respective chronologies of the signals in such a way to deliver increment signals intended for respective counters in a coordinated manner.
