The test method involves mechanically or thermally loading the converter with a mechanical or thermal test signal, detecting an electrical response signal from the converter produced by the loading and evaluating the response signal of the converter to test the converter built into the injector. An independent claim is also included for the a device for testing a piezo actuator.
