APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SHARING SERVICES ON NETWORK

An apparatus (100) and method for sharing services on a network wherein a role is decided for sharing services so that the services can be shared between OSGi service platforms of devices operating on a desired network using a desired election algorithm. The apparatus for sharing the services on the network includes a service role configuration unit (110) for deciding a service role to share a desired core service through the election algorithm when connected to the desired network; and a service request processing unit (130) for processing and requesting the core service requested to support a desired service from the OSGi service platform of a device assigned externally, according to the service role decided by the service role configuration unit.
