Aqueous dispersion of nanocapsules with an oily core and method of preparing it

Aqueous dispersion of nanocapsules comprising an oil core and an uncrosslinked polymer shell which is insoluble in water and in the oil of the core is new. The nanocapsules have an average size below 1 mu m and are present in an amount of at least 8 %, by weight. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing a dispersion as above by preparing an organic phase comprising the polymer, the oil, a nonionic surfactant and an oil with a boiling point below 100 [deg]C; preparing an aqueous phase containing a nonionic surfactant and optionally an ionic surfactant; dispersing the organic phase in the aqueous phase; homogenizing the dispersion; and evaporating the organic solvent; (2) cosmetic, dermatological or pharmaceutical composition comprising a dispersion as above.
