A screen for rear projection display having a simple structure capable of displaying a high quality image without generating a stray light or moire. The display comprises a film (2) for scattering an incident light from a specified angular region (between -alpha and -beta) uniformly in a specified angular region (between alpha and beta), characterized in that a view angle of 40° or above in one or both of the vertical direction and the horizontal direction is provided. A protective plate (3) may be superposed on the scattering film, as required.
