The present invention is directed to methods for stimulating the motility of the gastrointestinal system in a patient which comprises administering a growth hormone secretagogue, a prodrug thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable sal t of said secretagogue or said prodrug. More particularly, the present invention provides methods for stimulating the motility of the gastrointestinal system in a patient which comprises administering a compound of Formula I: <IMG> a prodrug thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of said secretagogue or said prodrug.
