FIELD: power engineering; terminals for connecting conductors to switchgear equipment leads. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed terminal has aluminum body 1 and contact tag 2. Contact tag is covered with copper layer 4, maximum 450 mum thick, its roughness index ranging between 20 and 320 mum; copper layer 4 is applied to aluminum contact tag 2 by means of gas-plasma jet wherein copper wire melts at high temperature and high pressure; copper enters aluminum layer with one third of its thickness at molecular level. Such evaporation process provides for dense copper layer on solid aluminum backing which makes it possible to ensure reliable electric contact between equipment terminal and conductor for long operating time; periodic cleaning of contact tag surface for removing oxide film does not actually cause wear of copper layer 4 due to its high hardness and thickness. Service life of this equipment terminal may be as long as 20 - 25 years. ^ EFFECT: improved reliability of electric contact and enlarged service life of equipment terminal. ^ 1 cl, 2 dwg |
