FIELD: protection of timber and products of wood, in particular, wooden trays, that are subject to use in the sphere of production of food products and their processing. ^ SUBSTANCE: the wooden tray is impregnated with a protective means. The protective means represents a-solution of Sorbic acid and/or one several salts in a solvent selected from group C2-C4-alkandiol or from a mixture of water and C2-C4-alkandiol. Besides, the invention concerns the method for protection of wooden trays against fungi affection by means of impregnation by the given solution. ^ EFFECT: protected against undesirable affection by mold fungi, there is no risk of the fact that traces of traditional protective means of timber that are doubtful with respect to the health or odor can get onto the food products or their package. ^ 16 cl, 1 tbl, 4 ex |
