FIELD: electrical engineering, applicable on big steam and atomic power plants. ^ SUBSTANCE: the method provides for control of insulation resistance of the rotor winding. At a reduction of this value below the set point a short-time boosting of the rotor current is conducted. As a result of boosting, shacking-off of the conducting bridges occurs between the winding conductors and the rotor steel. Such bridges are formed by adhering dust.
