In a washing-machine as described in the parent Specification, the hot water is fed directly (through an inlet 1) into the zone 4 between a perforated container 3 and an outer tub 5, and the cold water is fed into the container 3 (through an inlet 2) or into the zone 4. An agitator may be located in the container 3, or the machine may be of the horizontal drum type.
