FIELD: nuclear power engineering; spacer grid manufacture for nuclear reactor fuel assemblies. ^ SUBSTANCE: spacer grid subchannels are produced from thin-wall tube by its chipless cutting into blanks with aid of rotary knife edges as they approach external and internal surfaces of revolving thin-wall tube; in the process operations of thin-wall tube division into blanks, chamfering opposing ends of blank, and burring them are combined. ^ EFFECT: enhanced yield, safety in operation, and productivity due to reduced number of operations. ^ 3 cl, 6 dwg |
