PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermosetting adhesive which can effectively reduce the diffused amount of an aldehyde without spoiling the adhesive property of the adhesive and to provide a manufacturing method for a wooden building material reduced in the diffused amount of formaldehyde . SOLUTION: The thermosetting adhesive contains, in addition to a thermosetting adhesive component, a formaldehyde catcher agent that shows the formaldehyde catching action at a temperature higher than the curing temperature of the thermosetting adhesive.
