PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new pharmaceutical useful as a lipid lowering agent having excellent activity for inhibiting secretion of an apoB-related lipoprotein and excellent action on lowering cholesterol and triglycerides in blood, and to obtain a pharmaceutical for potentiating lipid lowering action by another lipid lowering agent, namely, capable of being used as a lipid lowering action potentiating agent. SOLUTION: The new pharmaceutical contains a tetrahydropyran derivative which has the strong activity of inhibiting the secretion of the apoB-related lipoprotein and the strong action on lowering the cholesterol and the triglycerides and is, therefore, useful as the objective pharmaceutical. When the pharmaceutical is used together with the other lipid lowering agent, the lipid lowering action thereof is potentiated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
