PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of stably storing a mineral acid salt of anω-mercaptoalkylpyridine as an aqueous solution. SOLUTION: The method of storing a mineral acid salt of anω-mercaptoalkylpyridine comprises storing the mineral acid salt of anω-mercaptoalkylpyridine represented by formula (II) [wherein n' is an integer of 0-2, and when n' is 0, a group -(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n'</SB>- is a single bond; q' is an integer of 0-2; and r' is a valence number of an anion in the mineral acid (z)] obtained by reacting anω-mercaptoalkylpyridine represented by formula (I) (wherein n' and q' are the same as defined above ) with a mineral acid (z) in the presence of water in the presence or absence of a hydrophobic organic solvent as an aqueous solution having a pH of≤1 and a temperature of≤30°C.
