PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing aluminum-substituted tin-containing indium oxide particles, and to provide an electroconductive sheet with a coating film excellent in transparency and conductivity from the particles. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution of an indium salt is added to an alkali aqueous solution of a tin salt, an aluminum compound is added to the resulting tin- and indium-containing hydroxide or hydrate, and pH adjustment to 4-10 is carried out. Heat treatment at 110-300°C in the presence of water, filtration, drying, heat treatment in an oxygen-containing atmosphere at 300-800°C and heat treatment in a reducing atmosphere at 150-400°C are then successively carried out to obtain the aluminum-substituted tin-containing indium oxide particles having an average particle diameter of 10-100 nm and containing 0.5-15 mol% of aluminum substituted for part of one or both of tin and indium. The particles, a binder and a solvent are mixed/dispersed to obtain the coating material and this coating material is applied on a sheetlike substrate to obtain the conductive sheet.
