PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle for keeping the performance of air conditioning while simplifying the manufacturing of a foot duct. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises an air mix damper 10 for distributing air having passed through an evaporator 6 to a warm air passage 12 passing a heater core 8 and a cold air passage 14 bypassing the heater core, and the foot duct 30 of which upstream end is connected with the downstream end of a foot mode passage 20 disposed in the downstream of these passages 12 and 14 and which blows off air from a foot mode blow-off port of the downstream end thereof. The foot duct has integrally molded blow-off port 34 for the driver's seat, foot mode blow-off port 36 for the front passenger seat, and/or foot mode blow-off port 38 for the back seat, and a pressure loss adjusting section 40 for the back seat. The pressure loss adjusting section for the back seat is opened when the foot mode blow-off port for the back seat is closed, or is closed when the foot mode blow-off port for the back seat is opened.
