PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device of a relative position of a slitter circular saw capable of directly measuring overlapping length in the radial direction of a pair of circular saws in high precision and favorable workability without considering diameters, etc. of the circular saw, and its measuring method. SOLUTION: This device to measure the overlapping length in the radial direction of the pair of circular saws 11, 12 arranged as parts of their side surfaces are overlapped and to cut a processed plate has first and second measuring members 15, 16 arranged adjacent to each other as first and second measuring surfaces 24, 30 make contact with each of peripheral surfaces 25, 31 of the pair of circular saws 11, 12 by relatively moving in parallel and a measuring means 46 provided on them and to measure a distance between the first and second measuring surfaces 24, 30. The measuring method is to measure the overlapping length of the pair of circular saws 11, 12 by the measuring means 46 by respectively making the first and second measuring surfaces 24, 30 of the first and second measuring members 15, 16 contact with the peripheral surfaces 25, 31 of the pair of circular saws 11, 12.
