PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device capable of positively cooling a sleeve with extremely simple structure. SOLUTION: This spindle device 10 is provided with a rotating spindle 11; a front side bearing 12 with an inner ring 13 fitted to the outer periphery of the front end side of the rotating spindle 11 and with an outer ring 14 fixed to an outer cylinder 15; a sleeve 17 disposed on the rear end side of the rotating spindle 11 and inserted in a sleeve housing 16 connected to the outer cylinder 15, slidably in the axial direction of the rotating spindle 11; and a rear side bearing 18 with an inner ring 19 fitted to the outer periphery of the rear end side of the rotating spindle 11 and with an outer ring 20 fitted into the sleeve 17 and preloaded with constant pressure by static pressure supporting. Cooling oil lines 22 arranged at nearly equal spaces in the same number as at least static pressure oil supply lines 21 are provided in the axial direction of the outer cylinder 15, and each static pressure oil supply line 21 is provided near each cooling oil line 22.
