PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of drill hits allowing excellent drilling and to extend the service life of a drill by increasing the reuse frequency of the drill by polishing. SOLUTION: In this drilling method, after carrying out drilling of a workpiece by the predetermined hit number at predetermined rotating speed and drill feed speed using a specific drill, a wear part formed at the drill is eliminated by polishing. In drilling a printed circuit board, the increase of drill feed speed does not thereby cause chipping of a drill bit and breaking of a drill, and indexes of machining quality such as hole position accuracy and internal wall roughness of a through hole after machining are kept well.
