PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for applying lubricant, which has a piping between a constant quantity supply means for supplying a required quantity of lubricant powder and a nozzle for injecting the lubricant powder into a die for powder molding, and can achieve the stable application quantity of the lubricant, and further to provide a method for applying the lubricant, by which the lubricant can be stably applied using the apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus for applying lubricant comprises a nozzle 5 for injecting the lubricant powder into the die for powder molding, a constant quantity supplying means 4 for supplying the required quantity of the lubricant powder toward the nozzle side, piping 6 for connecting the nozzle and the constant quantity supplying means, and a gas injection port provided on the piping. The method for applying lubricant is configured such that after the lubricant powder has been injected into the die for powder molding using the apparatus for applying lubricant, a gas is injected into the die for powder molding from a gas injection port through the piping and the nozzle.
