PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tank cap for a fuel tank maintaining freedom of design while avoiding interference with the fuel tank and capable of exactly preventing intrusion of high pressure jet water jetted from a high pressure car-washing machine into an oil feed port. SOLUTION: The tank cap for the fuel tank has a tank cap body 1; an engagement member 2 for engaging the tank cap body 1 with an oil feed port 6a by engaging with a part to be engaged of the oil feed port 6a when the tank cap body 1 is mounted to the oil feed port 6a; and a packing member 3 for sealing the oil feed port 6a by abutting on the approximately whole area of an edge 6b of the oil feed port with a predetermined pressure in the state where the engagement member 2 is engaged with the part to be engaged of the oil feed port 6a.
