PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of processing of audio data, which are compression-encoded, during a high speed play-back. SOLUTION: During the high speed play-back, only intensity stereophonic components are decoded and the decoded data are reproduced with all channels in an audio decoder which is used to reproduce compression-encoded data having audio channels that are equal to or greater than two channels.
