A remedy for diseases which can be effectively treated by inhibiting the production of Th1 cytokine and/or diseases which can be effectively treated by inhibiting the production of an autoantibody comprising, as the active ingredient, i) proanthocyanidine having a polymerization degree of at least 4, or ii) an extract of a plant material containing proanthocyanidine; an eradicative medicine for these diseases; and a medicine for inhibiting the progress of these diseases.
