OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE AND METHOD, CONTROL PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of setting optical recording conditions in an optical information recording/reproducing device, that can reduce the number of test recordings and can set up the recording conditions which can secure enough allowances (margins).

SOLUTION: Test recording conditions are set up under the recording conditions recorded in advance on an optical disk 21. A test recording is made under the above set conditions and its reproduced signal is detected to set up 1st recording conditions on the 1st threshold 22. A predetermined arithmetic operation is made to the 1st recording conditions to set up 2nd recording conditions 23. A predetermined arithmetic operation is made to the 2nd recording conditions to set up 3rd recording conditions 24. Another test recording is made under the 3rd recording conditions and its reproduced signal is detected to make decision if it is acceptable or not on the basis of the 2nd threshold 25. The 3rd recording conditions decided acceptable are set up as the best recording conditions 26.
