<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-handle and inexpensive coordinate input device for multiple monitors. <P>SOLUTION: The coordinate input device for inputting indicated position coordinates by an indicator to an electronic computer is provided on a plurality of display screens 6 and 7 for which a plurality of display devices 1 and 2 connected to the electronic computer 3 are combined. A detection area 10 includes all the areas of the plurality of display screens. In order to photograph the indicator 13 placed inside the detection area, a camera 11 is arranged at at least two parts in the outside of the detection area. In a processing part 3, the indicated position coordinates of the indicator are calculated on the basis of information photographed by the camera.
