PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a sweet area approximate to the distribution of the hitting points of a golfer.
SOLUTION: A wood-type golf club head 1 of a hollow structure has a face 2 for hitting a ball. The face 2 includes a center area A and an annular peripheral area B outside of it. The peripheral area B consists of a toe upper area B1, a heel lower area B2 and the other residual areas B3 and B4. The average thickness Tc (mm) of the center area A, the average thickness Tt (mm) of the toe upper area B1, the average thickness Th (mm) of the heel lower area B2 and the average thickness Te of the residual areas B3 and B4 satisfy the following relations. Tc>Te, and Te>Tt, nd Te>Th.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
|
