PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the detection of revolving speeds of rolling elements 9a and 9b of both lines even with a narrowed space between the rolling elements 9a and 9b, so that the load applied between an outer ring 1b and a hub 2b can be measured. SOLUTION: In this load measuring device for rolling bearing unit, rotating speed detecting encoders 25c and 25d are set on the mutually opposite side surfaces of retainers 24c and 24d holding the rolling elements 9a and 9b of both lines, respectively, and revolving speed detecting sensors 23c and 23d supported by seal rings 27a and 27b closing both ends of a space 28 in which the rolling elements 9a and 9b of both lines and the retainers 24c and 24d are provided are set so as to be opposed to the surfaces to be detected of both the rotating speed detecting encoders 25c and 25d.
