PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and quickly measure the total concentration of chlorinated biphenyl (CB). SOLUTION: An expression, showing the relation between the total concentration x of the CB and the concentration of one compound in the CB or summed-up concentration y of a plurality of compounds is calculated preliminarily, to be within a range where a compound composition of the CB has a some extent of similarity each other in (1) kinds of environmental media, (2) generation sources and (3) products containing the CB, products mixed with the products, and the like; and only the compound(s) hereinbefore is(are) determined quantitatively to calculate the total CB concentration (estimated concentration), by substitution therewith in the relational expression.
