PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce oil passing resistance of a thermo valve disposed in a lubricating oil circulating device of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In a thermo valve 4, a cylindrical valve element 7 having an oil passing hole 5f at the bottom and a spring 8 pressing the cylindrical valve element 7 are provided in the interior of a cylindrical valve case 5 provided with a stay 5a fitted with a thermo element 6 incorporated with a thermally actuated member 6a to which a rod 6b is connected.
