PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy recovery device of an internal combustion engine capable of efficiently recovering surplus energy of the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This energy recovery device 20 recovers the surplus energy of the internal combustion engine 1, and has a columnar gas pipe 21 sealed with a working fluid, a transducer TD arranged inside the columnar gas pipe 21 and converting acoustic energy into the other energy, and a diaphragm 27 for transmitting pulsation of exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine 1 to the working fluid in the columnar gas pipe 21. The device generates a sound wave by vibrating the working fluid in the columnar gas pipe 21 by the pulsation of the exhaust gas, and converts energy of this sound wave into electric energy by the transducer TD.
