PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct a fuel injection amount based on a deposition amount even in operating an intake control valve. SOLUTION: An air-fuel ratio control device comprises: a means 1 calculating a reference fuel injection amount Tp; a means 2 calculating an equilibrium deposition amount MFH of fuel of an intake system depending on an operational status; a means 3 calculating deviation from the equilibrium deposition amount MFH of a deposition amount calculation value MF which varies in a primary delay with respect to the equilibrium deposition amount MFH; a means 4 calculating a ratio KMF of a deposition amount varying with respect to the deviation; a means 5 calculating a deposition velocity VMF (=KMF×(MFH-MF)) from the deviation (MFH-MF) and the ratio KMF; a means 6 for correcting and calculating the reference fuel injection amount Tp by the deposition velocity VMF; a means 7 calculating the deposition amount MF of this time by adding the deposition velocity VMF to the deposition amount MF-1 calculated last time; and a means 8 restricting the ratio KMF. The air-fuel ratio control device further comprises a map switching means 9 switching between maps used in the deviation calculation means 3 and deposition amount calculation means 7 for operation time and non-operation time of the intake control valve.
