PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for performing the removal, insect-killing, or disinfection of foreign substances adhering to or parasitic on plant bodies such as trunks, branches and leaves, or fruits of trees, or stems, branches and leaves, or fruits of vegetables, without necessitating a chemical or a complicated machine operation. SOLUTION: In the method for washing and controlling plant bodies, high-temperature high-pressure water heated to 50-120°C, preferably to 80-110°C, is sprayed on plant bodies, such as trunks, branches and leaves, or fruits of trees or stems, branches and leaves, or fruits of vegetables, thus performing the removal, insect-killing, or disinfection of foreign substances adhering to or parasitic on the plant bodies.
