PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excrement picking tool enabling the quick preparation for the excrement picking work when the pet takes an excretion posture, recovering the excrement by holding the tool near the anus of the pet, having a compact size in an unused state and relatively convenient for transportation and suitable for carry. SOLUTION: The excrement picking tool 10 is composed of an excrement keeping bag 12 and a holding member 14 consisting of a pair of holding bodies 16 having nearly the same form and rotatably fixed with a pivoting shaft 24 formed at the middle part of the tool. The holding body 16 is provided with a holding part 20 to hold the excrement picking tool 10 by a hand, a bag-holding part 22 to hold the excrement keeping bag 12 by inserting into a tubular part 54 formed at the opening 52 of the excrement keeping bag 12, and a pivot shaft part 26 to rotatably fix the pivoting shaft 24 formed between the holding part 20 and the bag-holding part 22.
