<p>When a bag or a small suitcase fitted with a shoulder strap (1) is placed on the ground, the strap (1) normally slides down and gets soiled. The shoulder strap (1) attached to a pannier can get entangled with the spokes after the container is joined to the bicycle. The new design of a shoulder strap (1) is provided with an elastic string (3) either guided through eyelets positioned along the strap (1) at regular intervals or fixed with loops (4). When the bag is taken from the shoulder the strap (1) is automatically contracted. A winding-up mechanism (2), similar to the one used in an extending dog lead, can be integrated in the unit.</p> |
