A thermosetting and actinic energy radiation hardenable resin composition, comprising a polymer of 100 to 300 g/eq (meth)acrylic equivalent, 50 to 550 mgKOH/g hydroxyl value, 7000 g/eq or more epoxy equivalent and 5000 to 100,000 weight average molecular weight and a heat hardening agent as active ingredients; a transfer material comprising a base sheet and, superimposed thereon, a protective layer constituted of a product of thermal crosslinking reaction of the resin composition; and a process for producing a shaped item, comprising first adhering this transfer material to a surface of shaped item or instead incorporating this transfer material in a metal mold and injecting a resin into the cavity of the mold so as to obtain a shaped item and simultaneously adhere the transfer material to a surface thereof, subsequently detaching the base sheet and thereafter exposing the shaped item surface to actinic energy radiation to thereby form a protective layer. Thus, there can be provided an actinic energy radiation hardenable resin composition which is obtained at low cost, excelling in wear and abrasion resistance and chemical resistance, and which is used in a protective layer of transfer material without cracking at curved portions of shaped item at the transfer, and further can be provided such a transfer material and a process for producing a shaped item. |
