摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane structure which has a high proton conductivity and is excellent in mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane structure comprises a matrix (A) comprising a fluoropolymer having an acid/acid-base type group and a fluororesin fiber (B) having a branched structure. The acid/acid-salt type group is a functional group of formula (I): -O(CFY<SP>2</SP>)<SB>m</SB>X<SP>1</SP>(wherein Y<SP>2</SP>is a fluorine, chlorine, bromine or iodine atom; m is an integer of 1-5; X<SP>1</SP>is a sulfonic acid group, a carboxyl group, -SO<SB>2</SB>NR<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>, -SO<SB>3</SB>M<SP>1</SP><SB>1/L</SB>, -COOM<SP>2</SP><SB>1/L</SB>, -SO<SB>3</SB>NR<SP>3</SP>R<SP>4</SP>R<SP>5</SP>R<SP>6</SP>or -COONR<SP>7</SP>R<SP>8</SP>R<SP>9</SP>R<SP>10</SP>; R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or M<SP>4</SP><SB>1/L</SB>; R<SP>2</SP>is a hydrogen atom, M<SP>5</SP><SB>1/L</SB>, an alkyl group or a sulfonyl-containing group; R<SP>3</SP>-R<SP>10</SP>are each a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; M<SP>1</SP>, M<SP>2</SP>, M<SP>4</SP>and M<SP>5</SP>are each a metal with a valence number of L) and is bound to a carbon atom composing a main chain of the fluoropolymer (a) via an ether bond. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
