PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter capable of increasing the area of a pleat filter member, enhancing filter performance, increasing a life to filter cleaning, and further saving space. SOLUTION: The air filter comprises the pleat filter member 11 formed of a wave-shape, and a frame member 13 on which the pleat filter member 11 is attached in a body. In the air filter provided with a handle to the lower frame part of the frame member 13, the pleat filter member 11 is constituted in a state of folding the pleat filter member 11 in wave-shape to the upper position of the lower frame part 13a of the frame member 13 while the handle part 15 of the lower frame part 13a, when viewing from the front face side, forms a mountain form in which a formation position of the handle part 15 fitted for the wave shape of the lower end part of the pleat filter member is located at a mountain part and an upper and a lower positions thereof are located at a valley part, and is provided with a handle convex 15a positioning at the mountain part of the lower frame part 13a, protruded from the front face of the lower frame part to the front and mounted, and a handle recessed part 15b depressed backward in the space of the valley part of the lower side of the handle convex 15a.
