PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device that is compactly constituted wholly by using a thinner lid body and that has a simple opening/closing detecting means structure. SOLUTION: In this operation device, the lid body 3 is fixed on a device body 2. A magnet 23 and a magnetic sensor 24 are spaced and mounted on device body 2 side while a thin magnetic body 25 that is magnetized by the magnet 23 with the lid body closed and has a magnetic path from the magnet 23 to the magnetic sensor 24 for detecting opening/closing of the lid body is mounted on the lid body 3 side.
