PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in an elevator device equipped with a monitor in a car that various information is not sufficient and peripheral information cannot be confirmed sufficiently when a wheelchair user or a baggage carrier gets on and off the elevator. SOLUTION: The elevator device equipped with the monitor for showing an image of an elevator hall side in a car is provided with a camera for taking an image of the elevator hall in the elevator hall and in the car; the monitor for displaying the image of the camera on a monitor display plate; and a display part for displaying an operation state of the elevator, a speaker for informing the operation state and the backward state by sound, a destination floor registration button, and a door opening and closing button on the monitor display plate. The monitor display plate is provided on a rear side wall in the inner part of the car, a right side wall and a left side wall of the car right and left side surfaces, respectively.
