PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing device and an image reproducing method capable of displaying images photographed around railway stations etc. in chronological order by an operation of a user. SOLUTION: A station image display screen 80 includes a photographed image displaying area 82, a photographed year display area 84, and an operation area 86. Photographed images relating to the stations selected from a route map are to be displayed on the photographed image display area 82 after being read from an image database. Each photographed year of the photographed images which are displayed on the photographed image displaying area 82 is to be displayed on the photographed year displaying area 84. An operation lever 88 for switching the photographed images which are displayed on the photographed image displaying area 82 is displayed on the operation area 86, and a screen can be moved in a vertical direction by pointing a cursor to the operation lever and dragging it in an arrowed direction. When the operation lever is operated in a predetermined direction, the photographed images which are displayed on the photographed image displaying area 82 are sequentially changed in order from an old to new one.
